The driver head design employs a dual crown which simply moves the center of gravity (CG) lower in the club head and away from the club face. This will launch the ball higher and reduce the ball spin rate. The head shape is almost triangular for optimum moment of inertia (MOI). MOI is what keeps the club face square to the of center hit. Inverted Cone Technology, expands the sweet spot to deliver maximum center hit. Drivers will come in 8.5, 9.5 10.5L/H) in the standard version driven shaft at 45.5 inches. The TP version will different weight shafts by three different manufacturers. Choose the Matrix Xcon 55 gram, the Mitsubishi Diamana White Board 65 gram or the hefty Fujikura Rombax 75. All three are designed to enhance your particular launch angle and spin rate. TaylorMade will also present a new line of fairway woods and hybrids to match the head style and shaft performance of the drivers. Both fairway woods and hybrids will come in standard and TP versions. Irons in the new Tour Burner line are nothing short of incredible. Since this is an investment cast head you might think that it would have no feel and no workability. Well, wrong on both counts. The new thin face delivers not only great feel but it is soft enough to work the ball. A beveling on the trailing edge makes the iron play like a thin soled players club, but has the weight to get the ball up quickly. Inverted cone technology completes the design of this club to give maximum ball speed even on off center hits. The big brother to the Tour Burner is the Burner XD. More head-squaring offset and a titanium face makes this club as easy to hit as 95 degrees in a Texas summer. Sponsored by Strictly Golf.
