MapOne of the Houston area's best kept golf secrets, Oakhurst is located north of Houston on Highway 59. Originally opened as Bentwood Country Club in 1994, the club underwent a $1.5 million renovation in 2004 and became the new Oakhurst Golf Club.
The 18-hole, 7,002-yard championship course meanders among the towering pines and hardwoods native to the area. Designed by Dave Marr and Jay Riviere, the course presents a formidable but not overwhelming challenge.
The course offers a balance of straightforward holes and doglegs with each offering wide fairways and challenging approaches. The greens, always well-manicured and consistent, are massive, averaging 7,500 square feet.
